Artist Bio

Nell Potasznik Langford (born 1974 San Antonio, Texas) is a multidisciplinary artist of Belgian heritage artist based in Dallas with a BFA from CVAD University of North Texas, Denton, Texas.

“I am a painter. Experimentation is part of my practice and painting often results in non-traditional formats. experimentation of materials, new, repurposed, discarded, and reactivated in a new iteration. My work starts with thoughts that cycle in my mind. It is a mosh pit of observations and experiences from my Texas-Belgian roots and years spent working in the fashion and luxury goods industry. The work is layered, usually figurative and exposes the underbelly of imagery related to archetypes, femininity and ecological impact caused by humankind.”
